Mayflower Landscapes have analysed the primary ingredients of a successful landscaping project and created a product, which we believe provides you the client with the maximum flexibility and control in the design and execution of your chosen scheme, regardless of whether it is for a listed property or a cozy roof terrace.

Born out of our horticultural past, we believe the Mayflower Landscapes approach is unique in the market place. Our understanding of the planting regime is central to guiding you the client through the confusion of which plants will work in specific environments, and still provide the visual and sensory impact you desire.

Whilst we carry a large growing stock at the nursery, we have access to specialist growers in the UK and continental Europe for more exotic and unusual shrubs and trees. The advantage here being that you can view before you choose. We deal directly with a number of quarries for the majority of our natural hard landscaping materials (stone, slate and ornamental features etc.) and have a good selection at the nursery, so you are able to view the materials in situ and appreciate their characteristics, weathering features and durability before choosing to incorporate them in your design.

We believe you the client should have confidence that you are part of the design process and be empowered to make informed choices as to how your project comes together and most importantly, how your completed garden project will look. By adopting a more consultative approach to design and implementation, we believe we have achieved this level of service.

Essentially Mayflower Landscapes offers the discerning client a “Turnkey” service. By this we mean that you, the client, can select how much or little you would like to us to assist in your desired landscaping project.

The service has 4 main levels, as follows;

Dream - Design, specification, and planting scheme

Making the Dream - Full design and supply of all hard landscaping materials and growing stock

Making the Dream & Plants - Design and supply of all materials including planting scheme implementation

Grand Plan - Full design and project implementation

For those clients who are just looking for that spark of inspiration, we can create a design reflecting your aspirations and desires, for you then to pursue and implement at your leisure. We will also include the full landscaping materials specification for you to source, together with our suggested planting scheme, reflecting the characteristics of the site and your preferences.

Should you later decide to engage Mayflower to assist in any aspect of the execution of the scheme, we will be pleased to become involved to assist in bringing your dream garden to fruition

Full design and supply of all hard landscaping materials and growing stock

This option provides you with everything you need to assemble the garden of your choice. It is a response to those clients who know they can undertake the hard landscaping work either themselves, or under their direction, but may have difficulty in sourcing landscaping materials and plants at competitive prices. It includes all of the design work as included in the “Dream” option.

Mayflower will deliver all of the components on a pre-agreed timetable to suit your programme, so as to avoid stockpiling of materials and plants at your work site.

Full design and supply of all materials but with planting scheme implementation carried out by Mayflower.

If you have a DIY bent, or a preference to use your own labour team, but still need a little help from us, this is the service for you. As with “Making the Dream” we will undertake the design and supply all hard landscaping products to you and we will draw up the planting schedule to reflect your choices, and make it appropriate to the characteristics of your garden. What we will also undertake, at the appropriate time, is the supply and planting of your chosen scheme, once the work has reached the stage where it is ready to receive the growing stock.

Full design and project implementation

Following the design phase and having confirmed all aspects of the specification and price, we will implement the full design, to an agreed timetable. This includes all labour, hard landscaping materials and planting schedule. All you have to do is sit back and watch your dream garden become a reality.
